About ME

Smiling woman in workshop wearing plaid shirt and apron.

I am a Canadian DIY'er who lives in the PNW. I took a break from my full time job for my family, and when my kiddos were old enough to start school, was looking for something to reignite my passion for creating things and working with my hands. What began as a hobby quickly grew into a career as I continued taking new courses on woodworking and joinery to advance my skill set, eventually leading to a full time job as a carpenter. From there, I wanted to give back to others in the same situation as me, and began teaching classes to others looking to grow their own skills or find their own passions. I currently teach multiple classes at Woodcraft Seattle, including a date night cutting board class, Sawdust therapy, and a homeowners DIY class focused on framing and building a wall inside of your own home. I focus on making my classes fun and engaging for all, regardless of your current experience level. I often have students who arrive having never used a drill and leave with enough confidence to build stuff of their own!
